In the jewelry workshop, there are natural stones that are not displayed and have no plans to be used, as well as samples that have been made but are left in storage.
There are various reasons why these pieces are no longer in use - some were kept as spares, others were used to make jewelry as samples but were not adopted - but unfortunately these beautiful pieces are sleeping away, never to be seen by anyone.
This is such a waste.... I wanted to somehow let it see the light of day, so I started this project.
Because we are able to visit the workshop frequently, we are able to see dormant stones and unused jewelry.
After talking to the workshop owner many times, we decided to take action and upcycle these sleeping creatures to wake them up!
Among the treasure trove were items that had been forgotten for many years, including some that had been lying dormant since the owner's grandfather's time (though the current owner is quite elderly now).
We will patiently search for beautiful children from among these.
and…
It was a wonderful encounter!
The owner couldn't hide his surprise at the existence of such a stone...
We recut and repolished some of the stones that had been lying dormant, and used them to create large hook earrings that are also popular at Hiromi.A.
And what's even better is that they were willing to give them to us at a very special price! Thanks to that, we were able to have beautiful puppies at a very reasonable price.
It's such a shame that such beautiful creatures have been sleeping for so long!!
From now on, our journey to find upcycled stones will begin little by little.
The upcycled jewelry project will only be available in our online shop.
